MIPTV calling on Australian startups to enter prestigious competition
MIPCube Lab, the annual global startup competition for tech companies specialising in television and online video solutions, is searching for Australia’s brightest digital innovators.
The MIPCube Lab Competition, hosted by MIPTV, is offering an opportunity for founders to launch their startup in front of an international broadcasting community and connect with new partners, advisers, investors and customers.
Australian tech startups have until February 15 to submit their pitches for selection as one of the five MIPCube Lab finalists who will compete in a public pitch session to an international jury on April 7, during MIPTV in Cannes.
MIPTV is currently the biggest content creation and deal-making market for TV and online video, advertising and tech with over 12,000 delegates.
In the past, MIPCube Lab has provided an international platform for tech companies looking for international recognition and backing.
In December, DailyMotion acquired MipCube 2012 winner, Jiliion, which secured both MIPCube Lab’s Most Promising Disruptive TV Startup and Vivendi’s Coup de Coeur prizes, for their SublimeVideo platform which distributes web videos with customised features.
Entry for all startups is free. Finalists will receive free access to MIPTV and MIPCube 2014. They will also receive an exhibiting space to network and demo in the heart of the MIPCube over four days and gain visibility from the global TV and video industry pitching onstage in Cannes during MIPTV 2014.
